Visiting Lincoln...
It makes me so terribly sad to drive past Petland on the way to visit Lincoln in the hospital. Visiting a poor puppy who isn't even 12 weeks old, who has to be taken off of his IV and oxygen to be brought out to you to visit. I so badly wanted to say goodnight to the poor little guy but knew it was best to make it a short visit so they could get him hooked back up to his IV. And the employees at Petland who looked at me like I was a nuisance coming to their store to voice my concerns? I hope they, including Beth and Dan, the "co managers" at Petland are nestled up snug in their beds while I came home to an empty cage and a hurting heart. I am appalled at the things I am finding online. So sad. I was very specific, honest and surprisingly calm and cuss free when I told the employee from Petlands 1-800-donthopeweactuallycareaboutanimals number that I fully expect the "can't be reached in case of emergency" owner of the Chillicothe Ohio based Petland offices that I expect to be called today, and that I have every intention of being in Chillicothe on Monday.
Oh Lincoln. In a week you became my sweet puppy love. My #1 hope is that you come home healthy, and soon.
And Petland? I'm just getting started with you. I'm like Lincoln teething. I'm going to sink my teeth into you in any way I can, but unlike Lincoln it's not in a loving way.
Today Petland, you made me an animal activist.
Congratulations.
And again, Dan from Petland? That sarcasm is for you. And Beth from Petland. Thanks for mentioning bloggers.
